Are you ready to launch your career in Business or Information Technology through a hands-on, industry-connected degree?

A limited number of prestigious merit-based scholarships, worth up to A$10,000 per year, are available for high-achieving domestic students commencing the Bachelor of Applied Business (Business Management), Bachelor of Information Technology (Cyber Defence and Networking).

Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must: 

  • Be a domestic student, defined as an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or holder of Australian Permanent Residency (PR) or Temporary Residency (TR) visa.
  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to the Bachelor of Applied Business (Business Management), Bachelor of Information Technology (Cyber Defence and Networking) program at UNSW College.
  • Be a new student commencing their degree in 2026.
  • Not be an international student.
  • Not be sponsored or have tuition fees paid in whole or in part by an employer.
  • Note that this scholarship may be combined with other UNSW College scholarships or offers.
  • Deferral of the scholarship is not permitted.

Value and duration

  • Successful recipients will receive:  
    • Up to A$10,000 per annum for full-time students, or
    • Up to A$5,000 per annum for part-time students.
  • The scholarship will be applied as fee remission, credited to the student’s account at a value of A$1,250 for every 6 Units of Credit undertaken.
  • The scholarship will continue for the duration of the recipient’s enrolment in the bachelor degree, provided ongoing eligibility requirements are met. If eligibility is no longer met, any remaining scholarship balance will be forfeited.
  • No payments will be made directly to the recipient. The scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s account, reducing overall tuition fee liability.
  • No additional amounts are payable.
  • The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed as cash.

Scholarship conditions

To maintain the scholarship, recipients must: 

  • Maintain a minimum of 80% attendance in each course; and
  • Achieve a minimum pass grade in each course attempted,
  • Have no outstanding tuition fees, and
  • Remain enrolled in the Applied Degree in which they commenced.
    • The scholarship is only valid for students commencing in the 2026 intake.
    • Students who withdraw prior to completion or transfer to an ineligible program will forfeit the scholarship.

Termination

The scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

  • Graduates from an eligible program; or
  • Withdraws from an eligible program; or
  • Fails to complete the program within the maximum permitted timeframe for domestic students; or
  • Is determined by UNSW College to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their application process.

How to apply

To apply, students must submit the following documents via email to askus@unswcollege.edu.au or apply directly here by the relevant submission deadlines for the September 2026 intake: 

  • Academic transcripts or results
  • A 500-word personal statement outlining their motivation for studying the chosen applied degree; and
  • A CV/resumé, along with any reference letters and/or certificates that demonstrate relevant experience and suitability for the program.
  • All submissions must include the applicant’s full name, date of birth, and student ID for identification purposes.
  • The scholarships are awarded at the sole discretion of UNSW College.
  • Up to five scholarships will be issued to the top ranked students in each round.
