We know how hard you’ve worked to get this far. If you have a strong academic record, you may be eligible for one of our scholarships for UNSW Diploma and Foundation Studies – offering some extra support with funding your pathway into UNSW Sydney.

International Student Award

If you start a UNSW Diploma Program in 2024 or 2025, you could be eligible to receive a 15% contribution towards your tuition fees, for the duration of your studies at UNSW.

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be an International Student; and
  • Be a citizen of an eligible country; and
  • Be commencing full-time study as a new student on campus^ in a UNSW Diploma, UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding programs offered by AGSM, UNSW Online, UNSW Canberra, Foundation Studies, UniFastTrack Transition Program Online, any program taught in the Hexamester calendar or Study Abroad students); and 
  • Must have applied and received an offer of admission* into a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program; and
  • Must not be a current student of UNSW (exceptions made for those who have completed an undergraduate program at UNSW and are commencing a postgraduate program)

^Open to students commencing studies online in a program that is usually offered on campus.
*Open to students commencing their studies at UNSW in 2024 or 2025.
*This scholarship cannot be deferred.

To apply for the UNSW International Student Award applicants must submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining their reasons to study the proposed program at UNSW. 

New applicants can upload their personal statement through Apply Online as part of their application.

Existing offer holders should upload their personal statement via Apply Online or myUNSW if you are a Foundation Studies or UAC applicant.

2024 UNSW College Pathways Scholarships

If you are a high-achieving international student, you may receive up to A$2,500 towards your Foundation Studies program at UNSW College.

Everyone is eligible for UNSW Pathway Scholarship consideration; there is no separate application. If you apply for the Standard, Standard Plus or Extended Foundation Studies program, you are automatically in the running, based on your academic results. The UNSW College Admissions team will assess each application and scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit.

If successful, your scholarship details will be included in your offer pack. The value awarded will depend on your level of academic achievement so far.

Note: UNSW College reserves the right to, at any time, remove scholarships, reduce the value of individual scholarships, or cease its offering of scholarships to eligible students without prior notice. 

Ross Woodham Scholarship

If you excelled in your Foundation Studies program, and will go on to study a degree at UNSW, you may be eligible for a Ross Woodham Scholarship. 

This prestigious award is awarded to students who achieve academic success during their Foundation Studies program. 

Value: Up to A$10,000 

Accepting your offer 

If you’ve received a scholarship offer along with your program offer letter, all you have to do is accept the offer to study with us – it could not be simpler. However, if you take too long to accept your offer and our scholarship quotas have been reached, you may be required to pay full fees.  

Accept your offer as soon as possible to avoid missing out!
