Commencing students at UNSW College may be eligible for a 10% tuition fee discount if they have a relative who:

  • Has previously graduated from UNSW College, or
  • Is currently enrolled in a Foundation Studies or Diploma program at UNSW College.

Whether you're continuing a family tradition or following in the footsteps of a sibling, this discount is designed to support your academic journey and make your transition to UNSW College more affordable.

Eligibility

The Family Discount is available to both international and domestic students.

Eligible relatives include parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles who:

  • Have graduated from UNSW Foundation Studies or UNSW College Diploma programs; or
  • Are siblings currently enrolled in a UNSW College Foundation Studies or Diploma program (discount applies to second and subsequent enrolments only).

Applicants must provide:

  • A graduation certificate from UNSW College, UNSW Foundation Studies, UNSW Global, or UNSW Institute of Languages; and
  • Evidence of the familial relationship to the applicant.

 


The discount applies only to new enrolments in 2026 for Foundation Studies or Diploma programs.

The discount does not apply to:

  • Diploma of Business; or
  • Foundation Studies Commerce stream; or
  • Foundation Studies Commerce Actuarial Studies stream.

Sponsored students are not eligible.

The Family Discount cannot be combined with the UNSW International Student Award. It may be combined with the UNSW College Regional Merit Scholarship.

Deferral of the Family Discount is permitted.

The Family Discount is awarded at the sole discretion of UNSW College.

Ongoing Eligibility

To maintain the Family Discount, recipients must:

  • Have no outstanding tuition fees.
  • Remain enrolled in an eligible UNSW College program.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by UNSW College policies.
  • Continue to meet all eligibility requirements.

The discount is valid only for students commencing in the 2026 intake. Recipients who withdraw or transfer to an ineligible program will forfeit the scholarship. . Students who extend their studies beyond this due to change of mind, repeating or for any other reason will not be entitled to receive the Family Discount for the extended portion of the program.

How to apply

Applicants must submit the following documentation:

  • Full name, date of birth, and student ID of the relative;
  • Proof of relationship (e.g., birth certificate, family certificate, statutory declaration);
  • Graduation certificate (if applicable).

For siblings concurrently enrolled, the discount applies to the second and subsequent enrolments only.

Applications must be submitted to scholarships@unswcollege.edu.au at the time of accepting the offer.

UNSW College reserves the right to verify all submitted information to determine eligibility.
