Updated: 18 March 2026
Effective from March 2026, a new offer‑round admissions process is in place for international applications to the Diploma of Business. Instead of issuing offers on a rolling basis, applications will now be assessed in scheduled rounds in April, June, July, September and January. Each round has a fixed deadline for completed applications, followed by a set offer‑release date and a four‑week acceptance period.
Admissions will rank all eligible applicants using a formal academic‑ranking methodology to ensure a consistent and transparent selection process. Applicants who meet entry requirements but are not selected in a given round may choose to be considered in the next round without reapplying.
This structured approach allows us to manage limited program capacity more effectively while supporting diverse and high‑quality cohorts. Please see below for the dates of the new rounds:
| Intake | Week 1 - Start | Completed Application Deadline for Offer Round | Offer Issue | Acceptance Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Term 3 2026 | 31 Aug 2026 | 13 Apr 2026 8 Jun 2026 | 20 Apr 2026 15 Jun 2026 | 18 May 2026 13 Jul 2026 |
| Term 1 2027 | 18 Jan 2027 | 13 Apr 2026 20 Jul 2026 21 Sep 2026 | 20 Apr 2026 27 Jul 2026 28 Sep 2026 | 18 May 2026 24 Aug 2026 26 Oct 2026 |
| Term 4 2027 | 30 Aug 2027 | 13 Apr 2026 20 Jul 2026 21 Sep 2026 11 Jan 2027 | 20 Apr 2026 27 Jul 2026 28 Sep 2026 18 Jan 2027 | 18 May 2026 24 Aug 2026 26 Oct 2026 15 Feb 2027 |
Cohorts exempted from offer rounds: UNSW College Foundation Students, UNSW College TNE Students, HSC Onshore Students, Sponsored Students.
International student applications for 2026 and 2027 intakes are now open.
Direct applications for 2026 diplomas are now open to domestic students. Domestic student applications for Term 1 2027 will follow the UAC cycle and will be opening in April 2026.
Due to high demand, there are a limited number of places available in each intake for students packaging a Foundation Studies or Diploma program with the UNSW Bachelor of Commerce. If capacity is reached, applications and new offers for this package will be paused. Should students miss out on their preferred intake for a Foundation Studies or Diploma program packaged with the Bachelor of Commerce, they may choose another degree or select a later intake.
Please note that from 1 January 2026 onwards, once they have accepted their offer, students may not be permitted to change into the Foundation Studies Commerce stream or into the Diploma of Business.
Offers and acceptances for other Foundation Studies streams and Diploma programs will continue as normal.
Notification of changes to teaching terms for Diploma Students
The Diploma is moving to a Semester structure from 2028. To support this transition, there will be a small number of changes for students starting their Diploma in August 2027.
We have planned the transition from Terms to Semesters carefully so that student’s overall program length does not change. Please see below a summary of the changes. For all dates, please refer to our Key Dates page.

|---|---|---|---|
First Study Session | Term 4 - 30 Aug 2027 | 4 teaching weeks | Students will study 1 course. |
