This 12-month program is your first step to a career in business, where you’ll learn the same fundamental principles as students in the first-year degree program.

Once you’re finished, you’ll be ready for Second Year of the Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW Sydney. Choose from 12 majors including Accounting, Finance and Information Systems.

Foundation Studies – Commerce or Actuarial Studies Stream

Prepare for university success

Over 9-15 months (depending on your program) you’ll learn academic English, computing, accounting, business law and management fundamentals, plus maths with either a commerce or science focus. The Commerce Stream is for students intending to study Business, Accounting, Economics and Arts. The Actuarial Studies Stream is for students with higher maths ability, who are intending to study Actuarial Studies.

Once you’re finished, you’ll be ready for First Year of an undergraduate degree at the UNSW Business School.
