      • Duration: 2 years
      • UoC: 96 UoC
      • Successful completion of a recognised bachelor's degree equivalent to an Australian degree in a STEM discipline or cognate discipline with a minimum 50% average overall, including a minimum 50% average in at least three mathematics subjects.

        Successful completion of a recognised 3-year bachelor's degree equivalent to an Australian degree in Engineering Science in a cognate discipline from a university accredited under the Washington Accord with a minimum 50% average overall, including a minimum 50% average in at least three mathematics subjects.

      Master of Public Relations and Advertising / Master of Design (8234)

      • WAM >= 50 from a UNSW recognised institution or WAM >= 60 from a UNSW non-recognised institution.
  • All applicants must meet the UNSW College English requirements. Applicants will be deemed to have satisfied the English language requirements if they can provide evidence that they meet one or more of the following criteria:

    Prior Study

    Post-Secondary or Tertiary Qualifications in English 

    UNSW College accepts completed post-secondary or tertiary qualifications completed in English to meet our English language requirements depending on whether you are from an English-speaking background or non-English speaking background.

    English-speaking background: 

    • Citizens of English-speaking countries, OR
    • Permanent Residents of English-speaking countries, OR
    • Minimum of ten years in an English-speaking country and completed secondary or tertiary education in an English-speaking country.

    Completed Qualification

    If you are from a non-English-speaking background, you will meet our English language requirements if your qualification was:

    • an AQF Bachelor or higher from a recognised institution in an English-speaking country, OR
    • from an institution listed in the World Higher Education Database (WHED) with English clearly stated as the sole language of instruction
    • completed within the five years before you start your program at the College.

  • (a)  If you have an IELTS equal to 6.0 (or equivalent) 

    • The Pre-Masters subject Academic English for Higher Studies must be undertaken. Successful completion of this subject meets the English Language entry requirement of the specified UNSW master’s degree.

    (b) If you have an IELTS greater than or equal to 6.5 (or equivalent)

    • Pre-Masters (Information Technology) and Pre-Masters (Engineering): One of the following electives must be undertaken: Economic Decision Analysis in Engineering OR Principles of Programming, with the elective dependent upon the student’s intended UNSW master’s degree.
    • Pre-Masters (Art & Design): You will undertake a second master’s equivalent course (Communication Skills for Creative Disciplines).
    • Pre-Masters (Media): You will undertake a second master’s equivalent course (Writing for Media).
